Clinical Cases in Avian and Exotic Animal Hematology and Cytology demonstrates how to use hemic cytology and cytodiagnosis as part of the assessment of an exotic animal patient, taking the reader through nearly actual clinical cases. With a focus on cytological interpretation, the Pages: Cytology tissue microarrays were constructed from MPE cell blocks of patients with five tumor entities. Immune cells lineage markers were quantified by computational cytopathology on immunohistochemistry. mRNA expression analysis of nine lineage markers and 17 immunomodulators was performed by NanoString. The main focus of this test is not to substitute cytology but rather be complementary with it. UroSEEK was more sensitive than cytology in the surveillance cohort (71% vs. 25%) and in the primary detection cohort (95% vs. 43%). In line with other tests, the specificity of cytology was superior to this technic on the detection cohort (% vs. 93%).Author: Rui Batista, Nuno Vinagre, Sara Meireles, João Vinagre, Hugo Prazeres, Ricardo Leão, Valdemar Máximo.   High-risk human papillomaviruses (HPVs) cause essentially all cervical cancers, most anal and oropharyngeal cancers, and some vaginal, vulvar, and penile cancers. Improved understanding of the pathogenesis of infection and the availability of newer tests are changing the approach to screening and diagnosis. Molecular tests to detect DNA from the most common high-risk HPVs are FDA Cited by:
